Sophie-Alexia’s works deal with the emphasis on its own materiality by breaking from deliberateprocesses. She emphasizes the use of various materials to reinforce and express concepts relatingto esoteric, social and scientific theory. Sophie-Alexia's works integrate immediate elements foundwithin her environment as part of her process. Both foreground and background are integrated intotheir compositional structures, allowing the works to suspend in their own field of perception. Asense of movement is consistently present in the works as they aim to depict the illusory quality ofthe present moment.
